April 15, 2010: TAM Consultants, Inc. congratulates Timothy A. Mills, P.E., LEED AP, for earning the Certified Air Barrier Auditor License through the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA). ABAA’s Quality Assurance Program is a rigorous training and certification program designed to educate and provide practical experience to third party auditors in the building envelope construction phase of new construction and renovation/repair of envelope systems. A Third Party Certified Auditor is often specified in federal and state contracts and TAM Consultants provides consulting on the building envelope from design through construction phase, now able to provide a licensed audit in compliance with ABAA standards and all applicable regional and federal requirements.
Timothy A. Mills, PE, has earned the Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certificate. The CQM for Contractors is in coordination with Association of Builders and Contractors - VA Chapter, US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. This training recognizes that the mutual goal of contractors and the government is a quality end product. The program encourages proactive leadership and emphasizes getting it right the first time. Attendees develop an understanding of how to integrate quality into every aspect of the project from the pre-construction planning to project close-out.
